Bills have no plan to retain WR Owens

The Buffalo Bills made announcement on Saturday, saying that they had no plan to offer any contract with wide receiver Terrell Owens. That means Owens could begin plan for his free agency now even there are still a few days left before the March 5 deadline for free agency.

“We wanted to inform all three players ahead of the start of the free agency period so they could begin making their plans,” Bills general manager Buddy Nix said. “We just felt that was the right thing to do. All three have represented our organization with class and we thank them for their dedication and hard work.”

Owens caught 55 passes for 829 yards and five touchdowns in the only season he played in Bills jerseys. He made six times to Pro Bowl and caught his 1,000th pass in Week 16 at Atlanta to become the sixth player in league history to reach the milestone. He also has many other records, but there is one problem: he is turning 37 this year. Few teams believe that he can still play for a long term, so it’s hard to say whether he could find a good offer on the free agent market.

Bills still expect Owens to start at WR

The Buffalo Bills NO.1 wide receiver Terrell Owens missed second straight practice Thursday with his strained hip, but the Bills Coach Dick Jauron has not given up the hope that Owens could still play against the Tennessee Titans.

After Thursday’s practice, Jauron told reporters that the receiver is “still struggling” with the injury, which flared up during the team’s day off on Tuesday. He admitted that Owens was feeling better but still not good enough to be on the field. And the receiver was seen walk into the locker room without limp. But he was not in practice Browns jersey nor taking part in any part of workouts. Hopefully he will not disappoint the Bills.

What is more hopeful is that the Bills will have starting defensive end Aaron Schobel back and play on Sunday as he was able to work out on his own for the first time since he got groin injury in the 31-10 loss to the Houston Texans on Nov. 1.

Cowboys is showing interest in Terrell Owens

Recently Terrell Owens talked a lot about his day with the Cowboys, and Jerry Jones, the boss who dumped the disgruntled employee, showed interest in what T.O. said.

"I'm drawn to when he's featured on certain segments, and I read carefully what's written," the Cowboys' owner said Thursday. "I'm interested."

"He's credible with me," Jones said. "That's what makes it interesting."

The fans do not feel like to give more reaction to everything the wide receiver says or does. Owens keeps speculating that quarterback Tony Romo and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett pushed for his release in Dallas. We can expect that he will say more about it on his upcoming reality TV show.

Jones just did not deny the posibility of resign Owens. More or less, the fans will have to react to what is going on for longer time.
